Georgia Health Insurance Terms:
"What is Actual Age?"
....................................................................................................................................

Actual Age: Is a method of calculating an applicant's insurance age. This method uses the insured's actual age and is sometimes called Age Last Birthday or Attained Age.

Are you suffering from low energy levels? Would you like to lose 8-10 pounds per month? Do you want to think more clearly, be more focused and improve your memory? If so, the Actual/Age Program is for you.

The first step in the program is to measure your body's age versus your chronological age. For example, you may be 44 years old but have the body of a 53 year old. Based on research from Tufts University, we have the means to measure your body's age via the "biomarkers of aging". Some of these biomarkers are your body fat percentage, your muscle mass, muscle strength and body shape.

The second step is one on one meeting with the doctor to discuss your body's actual age and show you what actions to take in order to bring your chronological age and your actual age closer together. It is entirely possible to become younger than your years!

Here are some results from a case study. The patient's name is Susan. Susan, who is 39 years old, started the Actual/Age Program weighing 224 pounds. Her body shape, muscle strength, muscle mass and body fat percentage contributed to giving her the body of a 61 year old woman. Her initial muscle mass was 70.2% and her initial body fat was 31.7%. Approximately 4 weeks later she had lost 10 pounds, increased her muscle mass to 71.7% and decreased her body fat to 28.7%! In 4 weeks her actual age went from 61 to 53 years. At the end of 8 weeks her muscle mass increased to 74.2% and body fat decreased to 27.4%. She lost another 13 pounds. In 8 weeks she went from weighting 224 pounds with body's actual age being 61 to weighting 204 pounds and an actual age of 42!
